Note: I wrote this for a poetry project in English. I based it on *of course* the Vision of Esaflowne. However, it does seem to pertain to other circumstances so thats why I really liked it!
Fantasies never filled
A hopeful young girl's mind
This youth was young and uncertain
From reality she refused to find
Then right before her eyes,
A pillar of light took her away
To a world torn by fear
Where death and destruction lay.
As good and bad clashed,
The fierce warfare raged on,
Until fateful news was heard:
The evil empire had won...
Even with this victory,
Destiny could not be undone.
Only through this child's new spirit,
Was this struggle truly won.
Knowing she must return back home
She stepped into the beam.
Only now she understood,
To live, you must also dream...
